We Remember

Today we remember those who have served our nation and laid down their lives for our own.  Your sacrifice is not forgotten.  And to those who continue to serve and put yourselves in harm’s way, we pray a covering over your life.

This is a photo of some of the men who served alongside my husband, Caleb.  Each of them represents a family, a wife, children, parents, grandparents . . . freedom comes at a cost to us all.  We are all touched and affected in some way.  I hope that this weekend you were able to take time to remember the fallen and appreciate this hard fought freedom that we enjoy today.

So thankful to those brave heroic soldiers who sacrificed much, and sometimes all, so we could be free.

Great photo, quite timely as we still have presence in Afghanistan and other places but are often forgotten. BTW what ODA is this? I cracked up when I noticed the one guy’s tabs and “electric butter knife” patch displayed.

Memorial Day is so much more than the “official start of summer” and a reason to buy a new mattress.
