Caleb has been attempting to get a count on the sheep for the past few days and finally this morning, the flock decided to exit the barn in a nice, countable, line. Our 50 mamas have officially doubled the flock size with the birth of 50 lambs! There are a number of twins in that mix and a handful of ewes that have not yet lambed, so we expect that number to rise. As one would expect, our kids have had such fun watching and occasionally holding these sweet lambs. They run around in packs of 5 or 6, skipping and jumping, always trying to assert themselves. They remind me in many ways of our own kids, bold and adventurous, until they are hungry and then they quickly locate their mama! Stay posted for updates as we look forward to the coming of Spring and greener pastures!
