A Few of Winter’s Finished Crafts

Remember the lovely yarn I bought to knit myself something special? Well, I finally finished the hat and actually still have a few chilly months left to wear it. I love how it turned out. It can be worn slouchy (my preference) or snug by flipping up the brim. You can find the pattern here

I knit a little pixie bonnet for a photographer friend. I’m hoping some Valentine newborns may have the opportunity to wear it.

I usually do not knit or crochet booties, but when a friend requested cowgirl boots for her new niece, how could I refuse. These are too, too cute!

I actually found this matching hand crocheted sweater and hat at a thrift store the weekend we spent at my mom’s cottage. Isn’t it adorable? In some ways it makes me sad to think of the loving hours poured into it only to end up on a thrift store rack. At the same time I will love seeing Carleigh in it next Fall and Winter. She will be so cosy.

I still hope to get a few more projects started before our days fill up with chores and the air too hot for handling yarn. I’m on Ravelry, are you? You can check out a few more of my FOs on my Ravelry profile …though I’m not always the best at keeping it up to date.
