Winter Chores

This past week we were blessed to have a few warm days and took the opportunity to attend to outdoor chores.  Caleb spent two mornings cleaning up the fence line, mending a few holes and made sure all was secure for the lambs.  We also made sure to stock up on wood to keep us warm through the snowy days ahead.  The girls and I joined Caleb for this chore and were glad for the fresh air.  There is something refreshing about carrying and stacking wood- maybe that you can actually see your progress.  Next on our chore list is to finish in our attic!  I’ll be sure to post before and after pictures!

“Every man looks upon his woodpile with a sort of affection.”

-Henry David Thoreau
