A Year in Review

We had a great 2014!  Both Polyface and Eric and I as a couple. 🙂  Looking  back we learned a lot, worked a lot, and had some wonderful times with friends and family.  I was looking back through pictures and put together the collage below.  It doesn’t show all of what we did, but it has most of our highlights.  Including when we became parents in October, to our first, Nathaniel Robert Barth!  He is a great baby and we are blessed to have the newest farm hand at Polyface!

2014-01-05We are looking forward to all of the adventures 2015 has in store for us!

What about you?  What are your highlights from 2014 and what are your hopes or aspirations for 2015?

About Leanna Hale

Leanna Barth, born and raised in NC, first came to Polyface in July 2010 to attend one of the Intensive Discovery Seminars. She loved it so much that she applied for an internship position and was accepted for the 2011 season, after which she took the inventory/gardener position. Before coming to Polyface, she sold produce from her family’s market garden, along with homemade baked goods. This venture was mostly inspired by having read “You Can Farm” by Joel Salatin. Having always loved the outdoors, animals, and gardening Leanna is excited about this coming year, all that she will learn, and how the Lord will use this job later on in her life.

We discovered Polyface Farm online in 2014. I heard Joel interviewed on LewRockwell.com a few years ago. We conceived a daughter in 2014 and are due in April. We hope to move to the Waynesboro or Roanoke area where my maternal grandmother’s family is from…then we can be closer to polyface farm. Thanks for all you are doing!
