Quilt on the Horizon | Part 2

Happy Thanksgiving! Hope you all had a wonderful day yesterday with family and friends. If you were delayed in your celebration dinner, I wish you a great one when it does happen! πŸ™‚

Today, I wanted to share pictures of the progress I have made on the Swoon Quilt so far.

First, I’ve got the entire quilt, except for the sashing, cut out. Hurray! πŸ™‚

I managed to complete 3 blocks this week. They are 24″ square. These are big blocks, girls!

But since there are only nine of them, I’d say this is fairly good progress. My mom’s 60th birthday is coming up at the end of December. Wouldn’t it be lovely to have the top of this quilt finished by then? That’s what I’m aiming for.

Swoon Block 1Swoon Block 2Swoon Block 3Don’t mind the blue tape in the corners of the squares. I have them taped to the wall by my sewing machine.Β  πŸ™‚ I used that masking tape that doesn’t leave residue on your wall. I think they call it painter’s tape. So far, it’s working great!

It’s countdown to Christmas…what are on your plans for the week?

Oh and one more thing… Tomorrow is Small-Business Saturday!

I never could get into to Black Friday, but Small-Business Saturday? I’m in! πŸ™‚ If you’re out about town, take a moment to patron your favorite family owned business!00

Happy Friday!
