Spring in Full Swing

With the most welcome change in temperature, life has gotten crazy busy here at the farm. Our first batch of chicks is already out on pasture with a second batch in the brooder. 17 calves have been born over the last two and a half weeks, and the hens are egg laying machines in the egg mobiles. We have had a few issues with predators so Gabe, one of Polyface’s dogs, has been watching over one set of hens and we just moved a goose onto pasture with the broilers. With Polyface pigs still to be added, it is hard to imagine life ever slowing down.

Andplusalso…the next time I post, we will have our own new addition. Life is good and we are blessed.
