A Little Handmade Sweetness

Today I wanted to share some photos of the baby slippers that I have been making for the last year.

They have been my go-to gift for every little baby girl I’ve been privileged to know.

Don’t they make your heart melt?

I’m excited to let you know that I am now selling these in our on farm store. (And I’ll mail them by request) I hope that next time you come to the farm you’ll check them out.

They’re crocheted with love and all natural Baby Cashmere Merino Silk. Now if that doesn’t make you just want to cuddle, I don’t know what will! 🙂

What do you like to gift to new little ones of your acquaintance?

Happy Friday!

  1. Those are so cute!! (If only I had a girl!) Did you make the pattern up yourself or did you follow one? When someone I know has a baby, I usually crochet a hat. If it is a girl, I crochet a bright pop of pink that has a little sparkle in it and add a little yellow flower (like the ones on the slippers but a little bigger). If it is a boy, I try to pick the colors of the college of the parents (or one of them if they’re really a fan) or if they aren’t much for sports, I just picture a color that might look nice on them. For the boys I do a once around (double crochet) accent color about an inch or two from the bottom of the hat. I love those booties! I would love to figure out how to make them too! So CUTE!

Here is a pattern that will give those little boy feet some handsome cuteness. Enjoy!

  6. Hey Sheri, These are gorgeous! Where do you find the time to do this? How are the boys lambs going? and yes, like above I’d love to hear some pointers on how to create these, I have a few bags of alpaca wool here and would love to give them a try.
I usually give new born babys a merino toy or one that’s super soft like fur in the shape of a lamb. Usually lambs ears on these toys get sucked and sucked during teething and baby lambs are so cute. 🙂
