We Got A Little Snow

We got a little snow here last week…about 16 inches.  It was beautiful and I’d been waiting for a good snowfall!  Here are a few pictures of the lovely scenery.

I think it is funny that the goose settles for this puddle when the pond is just a stone’s throw away. On the left side of the picture, you can see hoop houses and eggmobiles (still parked for the winter, but not for long!).

About Heather Juda

Heather was born in Atlanta, GA, but spent 19 years in Colorado before moving to Virginia. She came to Polyface for the 2012 internship and has stayed on as the first female apprentice. She became interested in the food industry when she was in high school, and over the years sought to eat in a healthier way through community gardening, hunting and supporting local farmers. She had a very blessed and “comfortable” life in Colorado complete with a good IT career and condo, but on a calling from the Lord, she left it all to start a new life in farming at Polyface. She looks forward to seeing what the Lord has planned for the future and hopes to use what she learns at Polyface to provide healthy food for people!

Beautiful pictures. Our snow here in Grand Rapids, MI had just about melted off until yesterday and last night. Now we are covered again. My eight year old daughter is less then pleased. She is ready for spring and bike riding. I’m also supposed to put onion sets in the garden next week. I really need a hoop house!

  3. Beautiful! I love looking at it, hate getting around in it :). Just rain and mud here, and more rain…

Always love your perspective on things, Heather. Lovely pics! I love how Todd managed to find himself that narrow strip of snowless grass. Classic kittyness!

Stunning! I love the 4th picture. It looks like it should be in a magazine. Thanks for sharing!

Great pictures. Some almost have a black & white quality. Also, thank you for taking in this storm. We’ve had enough in the Nore’east. Hope the wet snow wasn’t an electrical problem at Polyface.

Orange Kitty Todd looks a lot like Orange Kitty Carrot! (Love you, miss you!)
