Apples to Apples | Part I

Happy Monday everyone! I don’t know about where you live, but here on the East Coast, we’re prepping for Hurricane Sandy (AKA: searching Pinterest for crafts to do as we’re stuck inside!) 🙂

So in case you’re like us and will rained in for the next few days, Brie and I have some apple recipes for you to try! Today I’ll be sharing how to make apple peel twigs with leftover apple peels and tomorrow, Brie will be sharing one of her favorite apple recipes.

We can’t take credit for this recipe…it (of course) was in a Martha Stewart magazine, but apple peel twigs are a simple and tasty way to make use of your leftover apple peels!

Here’s how to make them:

  • Peel apples
  • In a bowl, mix apple peels with cinnamon & sugar (optional)
  • Spread peels evenly on a cookie sheet
  • Back the peels at 250 for 2.5 hours (turning them over halfway through)
  • Let cool and enjoy!

We didn’t use any sugar on our apple peels and they still tasted great!And here’s the final product!
