A very Happy Father’s Day to all the dads today, and especially to my man, Grady, for the first time!
I have been so blessed to have a great relationship with my father and so am glad for one more day to bless and encourage him to continue with my younger siblings what he and my mom have completed for me, teaching me how and when to work and play and to become all that God has for me.
Maybe it is the same with all dads who give a daughter away to another man, but my dad was not in a big hurry to see me get married. I know he loves Grady and realized quickly that he is the man for me, but Grady loves to tell me about the morning of our wedding when he went to my parents house to pick up my dad and brothers. He said he got there, all ready to go and only having a half hour to get them to the church at the time I’d asked them to be there. When he walked in my dad was just having his first cup of coffee, none of them had showered and they looked to be taking their time getting ready. They ended up at the church before the ceremony and everything went wonderfully, but I know it was a hard day for him and mom. Most likely because I was the first to leave the nest.
This year my dad, (and Grady’s) have the double blessing of being GRANDfathers for the first time on this day, and I know they love being that to Ralph.
Have a very blessed Sunday everyone!

Happy father’s day to all of our amazing men!

Tell Grady it was a conspiracy! We LOVE all of you very much, you know
Thanks for those wonderful thoughts ( of course, you made Dad cry).
Love you too, I figured it was a conspiracy
I have never listened about the father’s day but after reading your post I am glad and decided to celebrate the father’s day. This would really be a wonderful day for me.
