Rub-a-dub-dub | Homemade Sugar Scrub

I’ve always been a sucker for a good sugar scrub…the smell, the way your skin feels afterwards, it’s just wonderful!

So, instead of buying a fancy, brand-name scrub that cost $30, I decided to make my own scrub.

Here’s how I did it…

I used white sugar, brown sugar, grape seed oil, and lavender essential oils

I used 7 drops of lavender oil, but you can use as much or as little as you’d like.

There are many ways to customize your own scrub: using salts, different oils, different scents, etc…

Have you ever made your own scrub? And if so, what’s your recipe or favorite scent?

Happy Monday!

So stealing this idea. I make a face wash of brown sugar, white sugar and raw honey but now I’m going to add grape seed oil to it. I love lavender but I mainly just use that essential oil as a perfume.

Thanks! This looks like a better recipe than one I last tried, which was just white sugar, oil and almond extract. No matter what the mix, it’s still healthier and less-expensive than what you can buy, and it’s fun to play with the scents and textures!

This is a great idea! I will make time for it. Thanks.

I am excited that I was introduced to a documentary that Joel was in, sharing the way a farm should be. Not only will I learn what to look for in produce (ie local farmers markets), but now I can make my own scrubs! Thank you.

Ps. I have a lot of catching up to do. 😉
