Let the grazing begin!

Call me crazy but I think they’re cute. That’s right…cute!

I’m not sure why but cows are my favorite farm animal and I’m so excited that they’re finally back at our farm. Since we don’t winter any cows at our farm, they spent the past several months at a neighboring farm. This week is their first week back and I couldn’t be happier.

The weather is getting warmer, the days are getting longer, and the grass is getting greener…so, let the grazing begin!

This is “Big Mama” aka: our lead cow

Happy Monday!

Our cows spend the winter on our home pasture but the summer away from our farm. They only go a mile or so away in the summer but I miss looking out the kitchen window and seeing them. So while you look forward to your girls coming home I am sad at mine going. Here in northern New York we won’t be moving them until the first part of May so I still have 6 weeks or so to enjoy my view.

Is that Tonya Tucker Buxton lead cow? I hope she’s just visiting!!! I won’t know what to do without her?
