About Brie Aronson
Brie Aronson came to Polyface from southern California. During college, she was diagnosed with food allergies and had to begin asking about the source of every single thing she put in her mouth. This led to an interest in all things food and she sought out a way to learn how it can be produced ethically and sustainably. Her desire is to help people shift their focus from counting calories, being intimidated by their kitchens, and being disconnected from the land to one that experiences the life-giving enjoyment of food. Having completed the internship in summer 2010, she now assists with the buying clubs and sales building, leads school tours of the farm, and will be the summer 2012 farm cook.
Happy Valentines Day to you, Brie, and to everyone at Polyface! I hope you ALL feel a special touch of love from those special in your life as well as a special hug from our Creator who you are honoring so wonderfully there on the farm!! I just learned of this fabulous farm a few weeks ago after watching Fresh the movie and have fallen head over heels in love with everything you all are about! I just sent Mr. Salatin a letter on Saturday in the mail of thanks for his inspiration. And then yesterday, I received his DVD of the farm, purchased through Moonstar, and watched it 3 times with my 2.5 year old! He loves naming the animals and I was taking notes like crazy! I hope you all have a wonderful week!!
Awww! So the gilts/sows finally farrowed? I remember there were two or three pregnant ones when I was there, but Joel and Daniel weren’t sure when they would “pop”.
