Knitting Project

Hey y’all!

It’s pretty busy around here, but somehow I found enough time every once in a while to work on my knitting. I grew up learning the knit and pearl stitches from my great-great aunt, but hadn’t picked up knitting until I came to Polyface. Last summer Kristin taught some of us farm chicks how to knit, and it took off from there. I did a few little projects last year, but thought it would be fun to do something “big” (not really) this fall. 🙂 I’m certainly nowhere near great at knitting, but it is fun to experiment and learn!

Here’s a hat that I finished this week! Now on to a matching scarf…

Happy Thursday!

Now that we’ve put the gardens to bed and moved the hens to the hoophouse, I picked up my knitting again (knitting pun intended). I’m working on a lacy scarf to wear with a new thrift store shirt. My 3 year old daughter wants to help in the worst way…any suggestions on knitting projects for 3 year olds??

I am an avid knitter and crocheter, as well. I find it to be very relaxing. Love your hat, hope you post a picture of your scarf 🙂
