There’s nothing better than fall on the farm!! Flannel shirts, bonfires, hot apple cider, mums on the porches and a chill in the air! Every year our whole crew takes a ride up the mountain to roast hot dogs and enjoy the cooler weather! Things start slowing down a bit and it’s nice to sit around the fire and eat smores and talk about all of our summer fun and what everyone plans to do for the winter!

I’m a 50 year old single woman and reading Joel’s book “How To Farm”. I’m hoping I can do this!

I read about your farm in the book Rework. You have a great site! I used to live in Virginia but now live in Tucson. This post made me SO homesick for fall and all that it entails – flannel shirts, bonfires, hot apple cider, mums, and especially the chill in the air — It’s still 100 here! Even though I may not be able to get to your farm for quite a while, I plan to visit your site frequently and get my “farm fix”. πŸ™‚

I can just about taste the smoke on those marshmallow! What is the excavation that some people are climbing down (or up?) and some are standing on the brink of?
