Music at our local farmers market

Michael, Don, and Cathy, rehearsing for farmers market

One of the nice things about meeting new people is sharing “liked” passions. Music. Oh, how we live for music. At our local farmers market in Hot Springs  live music is provided. Don and Cathy have a vegetable farm in Goshen. Once a month they play music at the farmers market while someone watches over their vegetable stand. This week they have invited Michael and Wyatt to play with them. Michael is on guitar and Wyatt, who plays drums, is on the “washboard.”

Wyatt, MIchael, Cathy and Don, lunch time rehearsal

Tuesday was their first rehearsal and it was such a beautiful day. Cooler temperatures and clear skies after a much needed thunder storm the day before. I harvested beans in our garden during lunch while they rehearsed. It was a very sweet afternoon.Don and Cathy  have a beautiful garden, I’m learning a few garden tips from them. We swap produce, ideas, and laughter.  They even helped us butcher our chickens a few weeks ago. Life at Buxton keeps growing. Music, friendship, and farming. Gotta love it!
