First Calf of the Season

This is the first calf of the season. The cows were right outside my yard fence last week and the little one squeezed under the fence. His faithful mama followed (over the fence) and here he is bedded down in my flower bed.

Isn’t he sweet?

Watch out for Mama Cow though, she doesn’t want you messing with her calf. You’re close enough.

We had our first calf of the season last week, a little black heifer. She is beautiful, looks a little like this little bull. They are so sweet when they are little. Our bull is large, black and white and branghus. That is what we raise for beef. Mommas are protective no matter what kind of animal, even us…have a super day.
